While Boulder is a treasure trove of adventure, sometimes it is nice to relax and take a leisurely stroll while enjoying some great food, drinks and shopping.

Tucked under the shadow of the Flatirons, Boulder is a tight-knit city that is rich in history and adventure. Its location makes it a prime spot for adventure seekers looking to escape to the outdoors while also serving as a great place to spend a day.

Home to some of Denver’s most iconic bars, restaurants and nightlife, South Broadway, AKA “SoBo,” is one of Denver’s most vibrant entertainment hubs. The neighborhood has everything needed to make a day relaxing and the night a movie.

Picture this: it is a beautiful Saturday. Temperatures will be in the 80s with a slight breeze coming from the Rockies. It was a stressful week and a much-needed low-key day of good food, drinks, shopping and relaxation with friends is in order. Oh, where to go? Simple – downtown Arvada.  

Pedaling around Denver in July 2021, my friend Sean told me about a bike ride that changed his life. The bicycle ride, which organizers say is more than a bicycle ride, is called the AIDS/Lifecycle.

The soothing sounds of polyurethane wheels clacking against the cracks in the sidewalks will be plentiful today around the Denver metro area, as thousands of skateboarders will be taking to the streets and skateparks to celebrate Go Skateboarding Day (GSD) on the longest day of the year.
